Halloween Extravaganza: CPO5 TAKES THE STAGE AT SHANK HALL

Milwaukeean's everywhere are wondering what all the fuss is regarding local performers Chapman Party of Five (CPO5). A busy summer for CPO5 will give them a number of opportunities to see what the excitement is about. Chapman Party of Five , is set to play Shank Hall once again on the heels of their successful Summerfest (Miller Oasis) and Riversplash (Marquette Pere Park) debuts. The show will take place Saturday October, 31st at 8:00 PM, Shank Hall, 1434 N. Farwell Ave. Offering multiple prizes for costumes including a free concert and signed CDs among others. Opening up for CPO5 will be Milwaukee's very own Elixr and new entry onto the scene, Funky Session. $5.00 advanced ticket admission. Patrons will be admitted at the door for $7. CPO5 has been recently hailed as the most "refreshing" sound to hit the Milwaukee scene in years. Their melodic blend of music is exciting and emotive. Tracy Weckwerth of GM Today described their sound as a soulful mix between Milwaukee's “Arrested Development” and one of the all time great bands, “Red Hot Chili Peppers.” Led by their reclusive lead singer/songwriter, Jamye Chapman, whom Pair-a-dice Productions called "One of the finest talents recently discovered," CPO5 has steadily gained momentum and fans since the moment they stepped onto the stage together. Jamye is backed up by a talented group of young yet experienced musicians: Steve Weber is a dual threat talent who is equally gifted on tenor sax and keyboards. Carter Manley, is a burgeoning star on the bass. Relatively unknown because of his youth, there are very few who can match his talent, intuitiveness, and groove. Chad Burgess is one of those drummers who come around every ten
years. Inspired by the great Carter Beauford, Chad provides the backbone of the band with his intricate and intelligent playing style.
CPO5's roots are in the Funk/Rock/Jam band scene, but they have composed spectacular music for just about every genre. A great sample of this new fusion music will be heard at this dynamic concert. The band will perform works that range from folk lullabies such as, "Dreaming of You," to hard rock hits like their EP title song, "the Eleventh Hour." The songs “In and Out” and “Close Your Eyes” rock with solid jazz appeal and soul. While CPO5's music is highly accessible their music stretches the audience and band to new heights. The entire concert will be marked by CPO5's exciting, rhythmically charged style of music that is making their name famous on the Milwaukee entertainment scene.
